Our hearts are broken by the devastating loss caused by the wild fires in Southern California that have impacted our communities in January 2025.

As we seek to love our community "in deed and in truth" (1 John 3:18), here are a few of the things we're doing and a few of the ways you can get involved.

1) Pray for fire victims and first responders.

Here are three simple ways that you can pray during this time:

• Pray for families and communities who have been directly impacted by the fires, winds, and power outages across Southern California.

• Pray for fire fighters and first responders as they put their lives on the line to serve and protect our communities in the days and weeks to come.

• Pray for God to use these difficult circumstances to bring beauty from ashes and draw people to Himself through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2) Donate emergency supplies and relief funds.

We are working with local churches and ministry partners to collect and distribute emergency supplies and relief funds for fire victims that have been directly impacted by wild fires. We will be collecting non-perishable foods and hygiene products like diapers, razors, and toiletries starting this Sunday.

We have also established an emergency Relief Fund which will be used to support fire victims in partnership with trusted ministry partners that are positioned and equipped to respond to emergency needs during this time.

3) Volunteer with local churches and ministry partners.

As we become more aware of the need presented by this disaster, we will be working with local churches and ministry partners to volunteer where it is most needed. Please sign up to volunteer with us at a local church serving as an evacuation center, at Children's Hunger Fund to prepare emergency supplies for distribution, or to donate blood with the American Red Cross at our church.
