Sermon on the Mount

Every human being is born into a particular country and a particular culture, and, as members of that country or that culture, we tend to adopt and assimilate its ethics and ethos into our everyday lives. In one of the most prized and powerful sections in all of Scripture—the Sermon on the Mount—Jesus teaches His disciples that, while we are citizens of earth, we are ultimately citizens of heaven who are called to embrace and embody the ethics and ethos of the kingdom of God.
