Titus
At one point or another, all of us have sat down to write a letter—or a card or an email or a text—that we wrote, re-wrote, crumpled up, hit delete, and wrote a second, third, or fourth time to try to express something that’s really important to us. Whether it’s how much we cared about someone or something, we wrote it because we wanted the truth to be told. In one of the shortest letters of the New Testament, Paul writes to one of his protégés in the faith, Titus, because he wanted the truth to be told about Jesus—in which he explains how the truth about Jesus is what defines us, compels us, and unites us.
